Journey Of The Busy Woman: Writing, Writing, Writing

By Susie 2 Comments

The Busy Woman website disclosure on thebusywoman.comI share my story because people think my life is perfect and tell me as much. They think I have a perfect schedule, an organized home, and all the time to do all the things I want to do. Guess what… they’re wrong. And they wanted to know “how” I do it all. Well I don’t. I only do what I can. If something is important, I do that first.

I also think (some) people are trying to find their “normal.” What is normal anyway? When we realize that “our life” IS the norm, the norm for us, maybe we can settle into that life.

What’s My Deal?!

All I feel like doing is reading and writing. This is not helping me get back on track! It’s taking me away from other things that I want, and some things I need to do. This sudden writing frenzy has been so weird.

Do you ever go through times where you feel you have a lot to share, and are lead to do so, but question why anyone would care? What did you do about it? Did you shrink back and not do it, or just share away and hope that God was right?

Moving Along

Friday, I “stepped away from the computer!” Instead of being online this day, I got to take silly photos like the one in this blog. Hubby and I went to a free hands-on Sony Camera Experience that was pretty fun. I got to put the woman in the photo in any position or pose I wanted, then take the shot. I used a paint setting on the camera for this photo. Pretty cool huh? I had no clue what I was doing, but that didn’t stop me. I snapped away! This was one of those, living in the moment, moments.

Writing, Writing, Writing

Saturday did NOT go as scheduled either. I ended up allowing my writing to take control of the day, again. I did get some things accomplished, but the highlight of my day was a visit with my son. He’s an amazing man. Since my day was all out of whack, hubby and I ended up grocery shopping at dinnertime.

The urge to write is taking me away from the things I want to do, so now I’ll have to be intentionally focused on what to do in order to get to the desired outcome. I’ll let you know if I get there and “how.”

Revelation Sunday!

Sunday seems to be the day we go to farmers market or the store on a fairly regular basis. It feels like part of my routine that I don’t have to think about. It’s also easier for me to prep the fruits and veggies all at once so anyone can reach into the refrigerator and just grab and go. So this is it! Sunday is my meal prep day!

I’ll have to start planning in advance based on a Sunday schedule, and take any frozen meats out of the freezer on Friday or Saturday to have them defrosted for Sunday cooking.

These past few days were filled with good lessons!

People often have the WRONG impression of others — good and bad!
People think I get a lot done and I do but laundry done perfectly and dishes done timely and meals done (well at all) are not on that list!
I think we SHOULD follow those URGES to write or work or sleep or play or…
That is much more LIVING than just doing the SHOULDS!!!

Thanks for the validation. 😉 There’s a time for work, and a time for play. Figuring out when to take time to play is sometimes a fine line. LOL
