We’re Out Shopping List© – Grocery Shopping Made Easier?

How many times do you hear, “Mom! We’re Out of milk! Mom! We’re Out of bread!”

Way back in the early 90’s I made and used a list similar like the one I’m offering you. It really helped our family. And thanks to someone’s quest for help, I’m bringing the We’re Out Shopping List© out of hiding so to speak.

I’ve also asked people to test my – We’re Out Shopping List© sheet for those who want to eventually have a list of all the food items you purchase each month. Some things you may only purchase once a month or once every few months. Then there are items you have to purchase once a week. Just keep a running list by adding the foods you run out of or items you purchase while at the store (that are not on the list).

If you print out 3 or more of these sheets and place them on a clipboard on the refrigerator or somewhere that everyone will have access, you will use it more effectively. (Large families will need more than one list.)

By using the We’re Out Shopping List©, we hope you’ll be able to see a pattern of your shopping habits so you’ll be better able plan your grocery shopping trips. This will save time & money!

Any feedback is always welcome! This is a work in progress. So far the feedback from singles or families with only one or two children has been that it takes them about 4 – 5 weeks to see a pattern forming.

Please let me know if it helps you and how long it takes to see a pattern.

Here’s how it works:
Put a check mark when you’re out of something. Use one column per shopping trip. When you’re done shopping, draw a line straight down the center of the column so you’ll know to go to the next column. After about 4 weeks, you’ll see a pattern forming in your shopping habits & you should have a fairly complete list of the foods you purchase on a regular basis. This will help you better budget and manage what you need most so you don’t run out.
