Keep Your List Building Momentum Going – Doable 29

Now that we have your list growing and moving forward you need to keep your readers active. If you do not provide them with quality content they will seek those answers somewhere else. When you are building your business and putting systems in place it is for the long term.  The more you engage your ideal client the longer they will stay!  If you forget about them then they will, in turn, forget about you.

A large part of your business activity should be focused on building your list – this is one activity that never stops.  In the beginning you may spend more time on this because you will be creating all of your opt in gifts. Exposure and sending traffic to your opt in offer needs to be continued for the life of your business. Keep your list growing and your business will continue to thrive.  Remember, it’s all in the list!

Make sure you stay consistent and relevant.  If you decide that you are going to send out an email every two weeks, then do it!  Consistency is very important.  Your readers will get into the habit of knowing that they should see you regularly in their inbox.

Get them into the habit of taking action and buying from you early on.  You want to set a happy medium between providing great content and sharing about products that will help them achieve their goals. You are, after all, a business person and you need to make money.  If not, it’s just a hobby!

I learned a long time ago that you should send out an offer early on so that you build that into the relationship and trust factor.  You don’t have to sell or bombard them with products in every email, as that would be too much!  However, if you never offer them anything in the beginning and then one day start throwing in offers they will think it is strange and possibly unsubscribe.  I have seen it happen.

What are you doing to keep the list building momentum going?  Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

I have the people who opt in to get my free report added to my weekly newsletter, as well as the autoresponders that go with the report. I found it unbelievable that AWeber doesn’t offer the ability to move people from one list to another, so I could add them to the newsletter after the sequence was done. So now I add them to both at once so they continue to hear from me. I need to work on having more offers to send, though. I think I should do that at least once a month.
