You Met Your Goal, Now What?

The Busy Woman website disclosure on thebusywoman.comNumber 5 in my 5 part series on Creating and Attaining Goals.

You met your goal, now what on thebusywoman.com
You worked hard and met your goal. What an accomplishment!!! Now what? It is time to celebrate your success! There are many ways to celebrate…

1. Buy yourself something new! It is a great way to celebrate reaching an ideal weight.
2. Take a weekend or even a week off and spend focused time with your family! It is a great way to celebrate leaving your day job.
3. Get a relaxing massage or visit a local spa! It is a great way to celebrate the success of a difficult goal.
4. Tell all of your friends that you met your goal!

Create a Keepsake

You can also mark the completion of a goal with a keepsake. Add a charm to a necklace or bracelet. Buy or make an art print to hang on your wall. Make a plate or bowl to use for years to come.

The important thing is to acknowledge your success and make sure to celebrate. You worked hard, and you deserve to reward your hard work and personal growth.

Review Your Success

Celebrate, then take the time to evaluate your journey. Recording your thoughts and feelings in a journal will help you understand and learn from the process it took to get there.

During this time, write about your journey, including what made you decide to choose the goal, what worked or did not, were there setbacks, and how you feel now.

Show Gratitude and Appreciation

Celebrate your success by inviting those who helped along the way to a gathering, or spend one on one time. Did someone watch your kids while you went to the gym? Maybe your spouse invested in your business. Who picked up the phone when you called or gave advice that helped you succeed?

You should always thank the people that stood by you during the journey. But do not stop there. Ask how you can return the blessing. Look for ways you can support the dreams of those who supported you.

What Is Next?

It is not uncommon to reach a goal and then find that you are restless. You took the time to celebrate your accomplishment and thanked your community. Now, you are filled with energy and do not know what to do next.

Since you met your goal, begin looking for a new one. It does not have to be related to the one you just accomplished. Find another goal that you are as passionate about as the one before.

Remember that list you set aside at the beginning of planning this goal? Go back over it and see if there is something you want to add or remove from that list. Next, sort in order of importance. Remember how you started this journey? Go back to the first article and start again.

Acknowledge the journey

Finally, if you do not acknowledge your journey, then you cannot learn from it. That is why you should always celebrate when you reach a goal. You have earned it.

And finally…here is your link to the complete Goal Setting eBook & Journal Workbook set.

The Goal Setting eBook & Journal Workbook two book set come in one zip file ready to download and use. These files include questions that are perfect for helping you review your accomplishments.

Oh and by the way…will you come back here to let us know how it goes? What a way to encourage others!!! I know I wanna know. LOL

Blessings and Peace,
