Direct Sales Tips For Heading Into Summer
Some people don’t want to host a party because they don’t want people coming to their house. And honestly, many people don’t want to deal with preparing and cleanup. If you have a hostess who doesn’t want to commit, find out if it is because she doesn’t want to host it in her home. I’ve had customers who hosted at my home. They still acted like the hostess. I just did all the work. For me it was sometimes easier. I didn’t have to tote the products and setup supplies.
If you have your party at a facility other than a home, the host or hostess won’t have to do much clean up. You bring potential sales to the restaurant or coffee shop. And others who are not invited, but doing business at the facility might notice and ask for info. It’s a win-win situation if you set up in advance and prepare.
If the party is at the hostess’s home, ask if she’d like you to help. Let her know you’ll be getting there early so you can set up and make sure she has everything she needs. Make her feel confident that you’ll take care of her and the entire party. She just needs to provide some light snacks and refreshments.
Direct Sales Tips – Plan a fun party
Plan a fun party with lots of interaction. Plan icebreakers to get people familiar with each other and YOU. Everyone loves a good time, so give it to them. Play games, ask questions, and get creative with your products.
FREEBIES are fun! Let’s face it. It could be anything from a tiny trinket to a $1 bill. Winning is more of a psychological affect. If you need a little help in this area of direct sales tips, you’ll LOVE my Direct Sales Party Tips and Ideas. People need interaction more than ever! That’s why they are attending – well that, and hopefully for your products as well.
So draw them in by being your silly self at the same time as being a sassy salesperson.
Be confident! Everyone is drawn to confidence!
If you have a huge fan attending, let them talk. Chances are, they will do most of the selling for you. But know when it’s time to take back control. You’re there to help your hostess earn free gifts and to make a living for yourself, not give someone a forum for their need for attention. You are in charge.
